Mellow Yellow Monday #54

MellowYellowMondayBadge

Happy MMY to all of you guys out there. Here is my entry. Huge bump right there. I was still pregnant at that time and we were in Plaza Bonila malling around and I had to sit and rest inside the playground area while my son is playing with the other kids and my husband is taking photos of me using his phone. Wow preggy me at that time heheheh, now I’ve already seen, touch, hug and kissed the baby who used to be inside my tummy.

Glad it’s working

I gave 3 apple ipods shuffle (1 GB) to my family back home and it was all brand new. I got them for free and since I’m not fond of electronics or gadgets I gave it to my family in the Philippines. I asked my sister if they we’re using them and she said yes. My brother-in-law uploaded songs and it works pretty good. I’m glad that they were all using the stuff or things I’ve sent to them.

High tech toys for kids

I can’t believe what I saw. It was a toy ATM machine where kids can really bank whatever money they have. It serves as their piggy bank but the difference is that this one is really an ATM machine which comes with a barcode scanner thing, I guess to use it to scan the money for the record. It was so cute and we thought of purchasing it for my son but we decided not to buy it anyways. How cool though. They even have toy oven that can really bake real cookies. Really cool!

My dream house

I want a house like this. This house is actually my aunt’s house that she just bought in Angeles City Philippines. My aunt who is from Virginia is now in the Philippines spending a month of vacation with my grandmother and her other siblings. She’ll be back on the 27th of this month. I love this kind of house, simple but elegant. I will keep on dreaming you know and make it a goal so I have something to work on and look forward to.

Hard decision to make

We haven’t found affordable term life insurance rates yet, but hopefully we will soon because we really want to apply for our children’s financial benefits in case my husband and I pass away. We’ve talked about it already and we both agreed on having life insurance because we don’t want our children or love ones suffer from financial debts. At first I was hesitant about it and even talking about it cringed me because I can’t afford to loose any member of my family. Well, practically speaking we all go away and it’s just a matter of who will go first. I was thinking about it so hard made me realize that the best way to do is give my love ones a better future by having the financial stability.

Son loves to read books

I was looking at the Amazon books and I think I might get some educational and story books for my children. My son loves books. As a matter of fact he had me read some of his story books not too long ago and there's this one book about "Pooh's very hot summer day" that he always had me read it for him many times a day. I guess that's his favorite one and he almost memorized the story because he reads along with me. I’m glad that he is interested in books that way he’ll grow up loving it, unlike me, I just hate reading books. I mean I'm not the type of person who will sit in the corner and read thick pages of books, I can even rarely finish 1 page. It’s not my thing you know. I’d rather listen than reading. I’ve heard that reading books for 20 minutes to your children will help them later in life to love books. If that’s the only way to help my children to love reading books in the future, by all means I would love to give my 20 minutes or more each day to them.
